Arsenal are not optimistic that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be available for the Europa League final.
The Gunners have sought additional measures to guarantee the 30-year-old's safety amid current political tensions between Azerbaijan, which will stage the showpiece match, and Mkhitaryan's birthplace, Armenia.
There are currently no diplomatic relations between the two countries and it is believed Mkhitaryan will not receive a visa.
According to the Guardian, there is 'significant anger' at the north London club that Mkhitaryan will likely miss the match over safety issues that are out of their control.
The match will be played in Baku against on May 29.
