Arsenal have held positive contract talks with Aaron Ramsey and a deal for Lucas Torreira remains on the table.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the Gunners are growing increasingly confident on tying down both central midfielders for next season.
Ramsey, who has been at the club since 2008, is out of contract at the end of next season. But Unai Emery wants to pair the Welshman with Granit Xhaka in the midfield for the 2018/19 campaign.
And Arsenal want Torreira, currently at the World Cup with Uruguay, to join them.
The 22-year-old currently plies his trade with Sampdoria, but the report suggests Arsenal are close to agreeing a £26m deal to bring him to the Emirates.
