Arsenal great Seaman ponders Ramsdale vs Pope battle

Arsenal and England great David Seaman says he can't split Aaron Ramsdale and Newcastle United goalkeeper Nick Pope.

The debate has escalated following Pope's errors against Germany on Monday night, in his distribution and for the visitors' third goal of the 3-3 draw.

“When you look at the goalkeepers that are available, Jordan's (Pickford) really good with his feet, Aaron's really good with his feet, Dean's good," Seaman told Sky Sports News.

“It's not Nick's strong point but Nick's strong point is in different areas - he commands his penalty area really well, he's probably the best at taking crosses.

“But with Aaron, you get an all-round game. But it's not about that, it's about who's the No1. And Jordan, fingers crossed that he comes back from his injury and he'll be okay for the World Cup."
