Arsenal great Thierry Henry believes France coach Didier Deschamps is right to ignore Alexandre Lacazette.
The Gunners striker was snubbed by Deschamps for his squad this week.
And Henry told Goal: "Didier knows what he's doing. Didier is the boss of the national team, so I do not know why he [Lacazette] was not called. All I can tell you is what I see.
"He's a scorer, but the competition is huge in France to play up front. [Olivier] Giroud is doing extremely well, [Antoine] Griezmann can also play this position.
"[Alassane] Pléa also stands out with Mönchengladbach. [Wissam] Ben Yedder shines with Monaco and also when he was in Sevilla. This is a subject that I find it very difficult to talk about because you have to respect the coach's decision. I always liked Lacazette as a No9, but the most important thing is that Didier likes him too."
