Arsenal great Bergkamp a ‘special person’ for Ajax striker Milik

Arkadiusz Milik has revealed just how important Dennis Bergkamp has been for him at Ajax.

The Poland striker enjoyed a fruitful season with the Dutch giants in 2015/16 which saw him score 21 Eredivisie goals and a further three in Europe.

22-year-old Milik spent the season prior on loan with Ajax before joining permanently last summer and admits he has learnt plenty from Arsenal legend Bergkamp during his two years in Amsterdam.

"When I joined the club, we had a very good relationship because I wanted to spend a lot of time after the training sessions with finishing, with my technique and development," Milik said.

"What can I say? Dennis Bergkamp is a special person for me - he's a footballer who had a great career and you can constantly learn from him."

Bergkamp, 47, has been Ajax assistant coach since 2011.
