Sagna's plea for Gunners fans to give his countryman a warm reception is sure to fall on deaf ears.
Sagna said: "I'm happy to play against Gallas because he is my friend. I hope the fans won't be too bad to him. I'm not against him joining Tottenham. He needs to play football - that's what he loves. On the pitch we are rivals, but off the pitch we are old friends.
"He deserves a good reception from the fans because he always did well for Arsenal and was very professional. He always gave everything, even if he had some moments when people looked at him because of his behaviour."
