Arsenal forward Giroud on criticism: I'm frustrated but it's what drives me

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has expressed a mixed response to the relentless criticism he faces from Gunners and Les Blues fans.

Despite scoring 17 goals in his last 21 games for France, the 30-year has experienced abuse from fans for his so-called poor all round performances.

"It does get to you after a while, especially because you're doing the job on the field," Giroud told the Daily Mail.

"But this is what also helps me to stay alert and focused on what I have to do.

"I'm not really asking myself any questions about how popular I am. The pseudo-debates don't really capture all of my attention, to be honest."
