Arsenal forward Giroud hints at exit: 'I won't settle for limited playing time'

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has insisted he will not spend his time on the bench next season.

The 30-year old, who bagged a hat trick for France on Friday, scored 16 goals for the Gunners last term, but spent most of his time coming on as a substitute.

Giroud has expressed publicly his desire to remain at the Emirates, but with France's World Cup roster to be decided over the next 12 months, he also knows he must be playing to ensure Didier Deschamps selects him for Russia.

He said: "Wenger is counting on me, even though he hasn't used me much. I won't settle for such limited playing time."

The towering striker has been linked with a move to Ligue 1 side Marseille.
