Arsenal fight to stop doctor O'Driscoll joining Liverpool

Arsenal are in a fight to keep their head of medical services Gary O'Driscoll.

The highly respected member of their staff is a target for Liverpool, per The Daily Mail.

The Reds are about to lose Andrew Massey, who is set to take up a role with FIFA.

It means they are on the lookout for a replacement, and O'Driscoll is at the top of their list.

He is said to be the best in his field and Arsenal do not want to lose him.

Such a departure would be a blow for recently appointed boss Mikel Arteta.

While he may be well paid at Arsenal, O'Driscoll may want to work at a more successful team in Liverpool.

He also has roots in the north-east, having worked in Manchester in the 2000s.

O'Driscoll has been with Arsenal since 2009.
