Arsenal have failed with an opening offer for Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato.Lance! says they have had a £6.5million offer for Brazilian forward Pato rejected by Corinthians, who has also attracted Tottenham.
The Gunners have attempted to beat Spurs to Pato's services in time for the January window.
Tottenham reportedly had a £12.5m bid rebuffed in the summer.
