Arsenal are competing with Manchester United for Southampton fullback Calum Chambers.

The London Evening Standard says Arsenal are keen to sign Chambers from Southampton this summer but face competition from Manchester United.

Chambers signed a new four-year contract with the Saints last July but it is believed that an offer in the region of £10million could be enough to land the 19-year-old.

United, keen to rebuild this summer after a turbulent first season under David Moyes, are thought to be interested in Chambers, and there could even be a move to bring the player and his Southampton team-mates Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana to Old Trafford in time for next season.
