Arsenal face competition for Nottingham Forest defender Djed Spence

Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are challenging Arsenal for the signature of on-loan Nottingham Forest defender Djed Spence.

The English right-back caught the eye of Arsenal scouts during Forest's recent win over the Gunners in the FA Cup.

Spence, who is on loan from Middlesbrough, is viewed by Mikel Arteta as a potential competitor with Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Sky Sports says Antonio Conte has assessed Spence to fill his hole at right-back.

Conte has been unimpressed with right-backs Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty.
