Arsenal eyeing cut-price deal for Juventus defender Lichtsteiner

Arsenal are eyeing Juventus defender Stephan Lichtsteiner for January.

The Daily Express says Lichtsteiner is out of contract at Juve at the end of the season and could sign a pre-contract agreement with a new club in January.

Reports in Italy suggest that Arsene Wenger is desperate to add Lichtsteiner to his ranks and isn't willing to leave anything to chance.

Wenger knows that the Gunners may struggle to compete with Chelsea and Real if it comes down to the terms on offer.

And that could see the north London club try and get Juve to agree to a cut-price deal in the winter transfer window rather than risk losing the player for nothing at season's end.
