Arsenal eyeing cheap move for Mainz defender Diallo

What is happening Arsenal fans? Arsene Wenger is seemingly going on a shopping spree!

The Gunners boss has so far brought in Henrikh Mkhitaryan and youngster Konstantinos Mavropanos this month, with a deal for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also likely to be concluded.

And The Mirror reports Arsenal now are looking to bring in Mainz centre-back Abdou Diallo.

The position has been at the forefront of Wenger's recruitment for years now. In recent times, the club has been linked with the likes of Chelsea's David Luiz and West Bromwich Albion's Jonny Evans.

Diallo could represent a cheaper alternative for the Gunners. The 21-year-old was bought for £4.3m from Monaco last season and is currently valued at £7m.
