Arsenal are favourites to sign Lille winger Nicolas Pepe.

The Gunners are expected to venture into the January transfer market after Danny Welbeck was sidelined with an ankle injury.

Manager Unai Emery has given the green light for Arsenal to pursue Pepe, who has been a revelation in Ligue 1 this season.

Barcelona have also been interested in the 23-year-old, along with Manchester City.

However, L'Equipe have claimed Arsenal are frontrunners to sign the talented Ivorian.

Pepe has scored 12 goals this season, helping Lille into second spot behind PSG.
