Arsenal duo Maitland-Niles, Martinez set to receive new contracts

Arsenal are set to offer contracts to Emiliano Martinez and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

Both players have become invaluable to Mikel Arteta after the Premier League restart.

The Spaniard has fought hard to keep Wolves away from Maitland-Niles, who was best on ground in the Community Shield win over Liverpool last weekend.

Martinez has been in excellent form since Bernd Leno was injured in June, keeping the number one spot against the Reds.

And the Mirror says both players will be rewarded with brand new contracts.

With Maitland-Niles staying, Arteta wants to ensure Martinez is not enticed by Aston Villa.

Both players will receive a pay increase by the club, who are looking to build on their FA Cup win last season.
