Arsenal draw up requirements for new left-back signing

Arsenal will seek a new left-back addition this summer.

The Athletic reports a left-back is high on Arsenal's list of summer targets and the report states that the Gunners are targeting a young player with a lot of potential who would be content to provide cover for Kieran Tierney.

Southampton's Ryan Bertrand and Crystal Palace's Patrick van Aanholt are among the names which have been linked with Arsenal, with their respective deals due to expire at the end of the season.

The report notes that both player's have been named on Arsenal's recruitment lists but they are not serious targets, with the Gunners not wanting to sign an expensive, experienced player who will be after regular first-team football.

The right-footed Cedric Soares has deputised for Tierney in recent weeks and the likes of Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka have featured there in previous seasons.
