Arsenal defender Ben White has lauded his team's fighting spirit.

The Gunners managed to secure a goalless draw with Liverpool at Anfield despite playing with 10-men for 70 minutes.

The Carabao Cup semi-final is now evenly poised for the second leg at the Emirates next week.

Speaking after the game, White told reporters: "There's so much fight in this team and it showed today.

"We dug deep and got the result we needed. It's not easy to play like that, especially against a team like Liverpool.

"It was tough, you have to concentrate all game. It's nice to defend like that asa as defender and keep a clean sheet."
