Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen has laughed off his recent scoring drought.

Former Ajax centre-half Vermaelen quickly won over fans with his no-nonsense style and his ability to score goals - he has hit five already.

But he said: "I'm definitely not worried about scoring - I haven't scored for a few games now anyway.

"For me, and any defender, I am more pleased with a clean sheet than scoring myself."
