Athletico Bilbao are considering a move for Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

Nacho Monreal played an integral role in Arsenal's campaign this season but it is expected that the 31-year-old will be leaving the Emirates Stadium this summer, with the Gunners said to be ready to sign Schalke's Sead Kolasinac.

As a result, Monreal is currently attracting the interest from a host of clubs in Spain and according to reports emerging out of England, new Athletico Bilbao boss Jose Angel Ziganda is keen on a reunion with the Spanish international at San Mames, having previously worked with him at Osasuna.
