Arsenal defender Lichtsteiner: I had five other offers

Arsenal defender Stephan Lichtsteiner says he wasn't short of offers over the summer.

The Switzerland stopper moved to the Gunners after being allowed to come off contract at Juventus.

He recalled: "I could have changed for five other clubs this summer, knowing that I would certainly play 47 games out of 50.

"But that did not interest me, I wanted, as in 2011 before moving to Juventus, to go to a big club.

"I was looking for a challenging challenge in a new league.

"I knew from the beginning that I had to fight for my place here against Hector Bellerin."
