Arsenal fullback Gavin Hoyte admits his loan move to Watford has been an eye-opener.

"There is a total difference," Hoyte told Arsenal.com. "People are losing their jobs because of results in this league.

"I'm training every day with a first team, and I'm part of a first team squad at the weekend. You are demanded to win, no matter what - fighting against relegation is another thing entirely.

"It was strange to me at first and I do still feel that. Arsenal is my whole life really. It does feel strange but the Watford boys have helped me a lot.

"I have to adapt as quickly as possible because playing in the Reserves is totally different."
