Arsenal defender Dino Mavropanos' outstanding form with FC Nurnberg is working against their plans of extending his stay.

The Greek joined FCN last month on-loan to the end of the season.

The German outfit are already discussing the prospect of extending the loan into the next campaign - but such an idea is becoming more and more remote, says Kicker.

Mavropanos has been FCN's outstanding performer in recent games and his form is expected to see Gunners manager Mikel Arteta insist he be added to his squad for next season.

Mavropanos is contractually bound to Arsenal until 2023.
