Arsenal defender David Luiz insists he can handle his critics.

The Gunners conceded another two goals in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham.

Luiz said, "Criticism is normal. That's how it's been throughout my career, and that's especially so when you're a defender.

"Attackers never lose the matches unless they miss a penalty at the last minute. Such is football. Defenders must take responsibility and accept criticism in a good and humble way. We need to understand when we make mistakes and be able to admit it.

"I always try to give my best. Although in pain, I played the entire game against Tottenham and tried to show good team spirit until the end. I try to improve with the team every single day."
