Arsenal cult hero Andriy Arshavin has slammed the quality on display for the final of Euro 2020.

Italy stunned England to win the final after a penalty shootout.

A non-plussed Arshavin declared on Match TV: "The English scored and after that they didn't want to own the ball and the initiative.

"They played very pragmatically, almost all of them dropped behind the line of the ball.

"I have no pleasure in watching today's finale. What are the penalties? Such mediocrity..."
