Arsenal are eager to boost their numbers in midfield with Borussia Monchengladbach's Denis Zakaria in the summer.

The Gunners are set to go through a summer rebuild after a season that is likely to see them without European football next term.

According to 90Min, Arsenal have been looking at Swiss international Zakaria for close to two years.

He is set to hit the market in the coming window, as he will be in the final 12 months of his contract when this season concludes.

Arsenal may have to convince Zakaria to join, as he may prefer a club that is in the Champions League or Europa League.

One possibility involves Arsenal sending Granit Xkaha back to Gladbach in part-exchange for Zakaria.
