Arsenal have confirmed Nicklas Bendtner has undergone groin surgery.

The Dane was forced off towards the end of the North London derby at the end of last month and has missed the Gunners' last two games.

He revealed earlier this week that he expected to have an operation and Arsenal have now confirmed the surgery went ahead in Germany on Tuesday.

Bendtner is expected to be off his feet for three weeks.
