Arsenal are confident signing Bolton Wanderers defender Rob Holding.

The Sun says Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is winning the race to sign Bolton centre-half Holding — despite a late move from Tottenham.

Wenger will increase his offer for Holding, 20, to around £1.2million plus extras in the next few days.

Holding is keen on a move to the Premier League, but Spurs have been told he will only move to the Gunners — as we revealed two weeks ago.

Arsenal may send Holding on loan for a season once they have him.
