Arsenal confident Arteta will sign long-term extension amid PSG interest

Arsenal are confident that manager Mikel Arteta will commit his future to the club.

The young coach has shone in his first job as a manager, with the Gunners odds on to secure a top four finish in the Premier League this season.

Reports in France have stated that PSG have included Arteta on a ten-man shortlist as they look to replace Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine is expected to be axed at the end of the current campaign after the Ligue 1 club's exit from the Champions League last week.

However, Arsenal are confident that their Spanish coach will commit to a new contract in the summer, perfootball.london.

The 39-year-old has already won the club the FA Cup and the Community Shield in the past two years.

Arteta's side currently sit one point ahead of fifth-placed Manchester United and possess three games in hand over the Red Devils.
