Arsenal coaches believe they should keep hold of Lucas Torreira.
Sky Sports says coaches at Arsenal are against the idea of manager Mikel Arteta cutting all ties with Torriera.
The Uruguay international midfielder is currently on loan at Atletico Madrid, who he joined in the summer with Thomas Partey going the other way.
But Torreira has struggled to tie down a place in Diego Simeone's side and claims have emerged that the 24-year-old is unhappy in Spain.
Arsenal are considering cutting short the midfielder's loan deal to allow him to secure a move to another club. There is also talk Torreira could leave permanently.
Many of the Arsenal coaches are still friendly with Torreira and are against the idea of him being sold, despite the fact he's out of favour under Arteta.
