Arsenal are putting the final touches on their record deal for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.
The Daily Star says Arsenal are set to complete the £22m signing of Higuain.
Madrid were insistent they wouldn't give a deal the green light until they'd appointed a manager to replace Jose Mourinho.
They yesterday unveiled Carlo Ancelotti as their new boss. The £22m fee will make Higuain the Gunners' record signing, eclipsing the £15m they paid for flop Andrey Arshavin.
