Arsenal chief Raul Sanllehi is ready to allow Aaron Ramsey to run down his contract.

Sanllehi feels they can promote from within to replace the Wales international.

Arsenal's head of football, Sanllehi, recently held a fans' forum and spoke to the Gunners supporters about his time at Barcelona, says football.london.

He reportedly drew attention to the club's success in developing academy players and turning them into Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta etc.

There is the suggestion he wants Arsenal to emulate this model, with Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson good examples of homegrown youngsters with bags of potential.

This could explain Arsenal's lack of panic in tying Ramsey down to a new deal, which would set the club back a lot of money.
