Arsenal chief Edu takes issue over claims the players blew the title this season.
Despite the team's collapse over the past two months, Edu has jumped to the defence of the players.
He told ESPN: "Arsenal blew the championship? I would not use such terms. We ourselves have become the creators of our disappointment.
"Nobody expected us to fight for the title. If we are disappointed that we did not take the title, it means that our thinking has changed. This can even be considered something positive, given the old times.
"We used to celebrate getting into the top four or third place. And today we are disappointed with the second place."
