Arsenal, Chelsea respond 'positively' to Mendes approach about Ronaldo London move

Arsenal and Chelsea have responded positively to an approach from Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes.

Le 10 Sport says Ronaldo has instructed Mendes to get him a move to London this summer, as he plans to relocate his family to England. Ronaldo is eager for his son, Cristiano Jr, to do his schooling in England.

Mendes has contacted Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham to alert them of Ronaldo's plans - and has received encouragement from the former two.

Chelsea and Arsenal have expressed a willingness to further explore a deal, though are concerned about the finances involved. Indeed, it's been made clear to Mendes that Ronaldo's current contract demands are unrealistic.

For now, if the former Manchester United star wishes to move to London next season, he will have to accept reducing his personal demands to make it happen.

Meanwhile, Mendes continues to push Ronaldo to consider Paris and PSG as his next move if he must leave Madrid.
