Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny has praised fans for their support of Alexandre Lacazette.
The France striker scored in victory over Southampton.
And Koscielny recalled: “There is so much competition for places in our team, in every position, that we all benefit from pushing each other to be better all the time.
“I also liked how the whole stadium rallied around Laca after he missed a big chance in the first half. Supporting him like you did was very important to him and the team. We have to show solidarity and unity all the time.
“He was gutted that he missed but your support and that from the boys on the pitch too helped him to get over it and refocus quickly. I told him after the game that he could have had a hat-trick. He will be hungry to make amend for the miss tonight so hopefully, he will get a hat-trick against Bournemouth."
