Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino says Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang should study the game of Sheffield United striker David McGoldrick.
“Some were unhappy with my criticism of ArsenalPierre-Emerick Aubameyang when I said his attitude was poor," Cascarino wrote in The Times.
“But there is one man in the Premier League today who helps to prove my point and that's Sheffield United's David McGoldrick.
“He hasn't scored a league goal this season but he's in Chris Wilder's team nearly every week. Why? Because he is a team player and a perfect example of why a modern-day forward has to be about more than scoring goals.
“His contribution is huge — he defends from the front, terrorises defenders, makes clever and selfless runs to create space for his team-mates.
“He is similar to Roberto Firmino at Liverpool — not in terms of ability but in terms of his value to the team as a whole.
“McGoldrick is a great modern striker — I'm sure the goals will come — and the likes of Aubameyang could learn a lot from watching him play."
