Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reviving his bid for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender.

The Telegraph says Bender is being monitored, with the Gunners boss known as a big fan.

The 25-year-old would be a younger and cheaper alternative to his fellow German, Sami Khedira, of Real Madrid.

But his addition would bring no less pedigree, with Bender amassing 17 international caps under his belt since his debut in 2011.
