Arsenal haven't shelved their interest in Fiorentina ace Riccardo Montolivo.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been following the Viola captain's progress since last January's winter market.
The Daily Star Sunday says Wenger is still interested in Montolivo, who is regarded as a cornerstone of Italy coach Cesare Prandelli's Euro2012 qualification plans.
A goal scoring midfielder, Montolivo faces a season outside of European football under new Fiorentina coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
