Arsenal boss Wenger: New additions give us more penetration

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey struck a hat-trick in their 5-1 rout of Everton.

The Gunners were as outstanding as Everton were poor in the first half, although Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was offside when he scored Arsenal's fourth just before the break.

Ramsey had given Arsenal the lead thanks to a pass from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Laurent Koscielny bundled home a second before Ramsey's deflected strike ended the game as a contest inside 20 minutes.

Everton were a different animal in the second half and deserved the goal that Dominic Calvert-Lewin gave them, before Mkhitaryan again set up Ramsey as the Welshman bagged a hat-trick.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said: "We had more penetration, a quicker and sharper game, we had a different focus to Tuesday [The defeat to Swansea].

"It was a repetition of the Crystal Palace game, when we were 4-0 up after 20 minutes. I believe the speed of our game was very good, good finishing as well."

On Ramsey he added: "He is calm in finishing, he used to rush it. Over the years I think he can get 10-15 goals a season."
