Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan can succeed in the same team.

The Gunners boss was asked whether the duo - two number 10s - have the capability to do a job without getting in each other's way, ahead of his side's Europa League last-16 clash with AC Milan.

"It is of course possible," Wenger told the press. "It depends on what you call a number 10. Football is full of famous stories of number 10s who have played together. History has proven that the best players can."

On how he hopes Mkhitaryan can lead Arsenal in Europe, he added: "I hope he will help us but before thinking to win the Europa League we have to face Milan and try to give everything to qualify.

"In my opinion it will be a tight tie because Milan are doing well at the moment."
