Arsenal boss Wenger: I had to go with Almunia experience

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger admits he went with Manuel Almunia for yesterday's victory over Tottenham based purely on experience.

Wenger recalled Almunia for the 3-0 win ahead of young Italian Vito Mannone.

He told arsenal.com: "I believe there is a massive pressure in a game like this. Mannone has done extremely well but when a goalkeeper is so young after five or six games with that massive pressure, they get a bit tired mentally.

"That's why I decided to go with an experienced goalkeeper."
