Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen for Sevilla to drop their asking price for Sebastien Squillaci.
The Daily Mail says Arsenal have tabled a £4.5 million bid for the versatile French defender.
Wenger is hopeful of reaching a compromise with Sevilla on their £6.5m valuation of the 30-year-old Squillaci.
