Arsenal boss Wenger confident of big campaign from Arshavin

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is confident of a big season ahead from Andrey Arshavin.

Wenger admits that Arshavin suffered a body-blow when his Russia side narrowly missed out on the World Cup in South Africa after losing a play-off, but he is expecting great things from the 29-year-old this term.

"It was a massive blow for him to go out of the World Cup with Russia," the manager told arsenal.com.

"He also had an end of season which was disturbed by many injuries.

"But what I expect from him [this season] is that if he remains completely fit he can give the team everything.

"With his creative side he can be decisive, create chances and score goals. That is what you want from him."
