New Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has plans for three new signings.

France Football says Arteta, who takes charge of his first game as Arsenal boss when Arsenal visit Bournemouth on Boxing Day, has delivered three transfer demands to Emirates chiefs.

It is claimed that the manager wants to sign two central defenders and a defensive midfielder when the transfer window reopens in less than a week.

Defence is a priority for Arteta, who is seemingly concerned by the fact that Arsenal have kept just three clean sheets in the Premier League this season.

Arteta wants to prioritise the signing of two new defenders next month, with RB Lepizig's Dayot Upamecano among the targets.

Midfield is another area he is looking to bolster, with Granit Xhaka and Lucas Torreira both facing uncertain futures at the Emirates.
