Arsenal boss Unai Emery has jumped to the defence of PSG attacker Neymar.

Emery worked with Neymar last season at PSG and believes recent criticism of the Brazil captain is unfair.

He said, "Neymar is young, give him time and be patient.

"In football, you have to give the players time to succeed. It's only his second year at PSG. I think he has the potential and the qualities to become the best. That's why he came.

"I trust him and I think he will be (the best)."
