Arsenal boss Unai Emery has thrown down the gauntlet to young striker Eddie Nketiah.
After their 1-1 draw with Wolves yesterday, Emery was asked about his plans to replace Danny Welbeck ahead of the January market. The England striker is likely to miss much of the season after an ankle break was confirmed.
"The first choice for us is to look inside, and we already have a striker who works well with the U23s and is also progressing: Eddie Nketiah," enthused Emery.
"He could have his chances."
The manager added: "It's too early to discuss signing possibilities in January."
