Arsenal boss Unai Emery has urged fans to stay positive after defeat at Everton.
The Gunners struggled to hurt Everton as they fell 1-0 to an early Phil Jagielka goal.
Emery said: "I don't think we are very bad. It is a bad result, not a good performance but we are fourth.
"We know it is going to be difficult and this was very good opportunity to take the three points and go third, but after the result we are fourth and we need to be consistent."
Emery also defended himself after his clash with Everton counterpart Marco Silva.
In the touchline fracas, he and Everton manage Marco Silva squared up after a challenge by Shkodran Mustafi on Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
"Mustafi arrived later in this action and I think it is a yellow card," Emery said of the spat. "I was speaking with Silva. He comes in my space.'
