Arsenal boss Arteta: We need cover for Calum

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says they're working on new signings, though is refusing to identify the players being pursued.

The Gunners are keen to bring in defensive reinforcements this month after losing Calum Chambers until the end of the season.

Arsenal have also been tipped to make a move for Shakhtar centre-back Mykola Matviyenko but would prefer a loan deal rather than a permanent switch.

Speaking ahead of his side's FA Cup clash with Bournemouth, Arteta said: “We've been looking at different positions, since I joined we lost Calum and we had circumstances and injuries in those positions, so it's true that at the back we have been short.

“But there are other positions depending on what happens in the market that we might need to assess."
