Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is happy seeing Martin Odegaard named Norway captain.

On-loan from Real Madrid, Odegaard took the armband for the first time during the last round of World Cup qualifiers.

That Odegaard has achieved this as an Arsenal player has been welcomed by Arteta.

He told VG, "He (Martin) was really proud, and I am also very proud that he has achieved that.

"He has shown his character here with us. I am very happy on his behalf.

"I really enjoy having Martin here with us."
