Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has seen Mat Ryan cleared to face Aston Villa.
Ryan, who is on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion until the end of the season, is now primed to make his Gunners debut in Saturday lunchtime's clash at Villa Park.
Gunners No.1 Bernd Leno is suspended after he was sent off in Arsenal's 2-1 defeat at Wolves on Tuesday evening.
With Ryan missing that game with a hip problem, it was Icelandic goalkeeper Alex Runarsson who came off the bench at Molineux once the German was dismissed.
But the 28-year-old took part in a full session with the first-team squad at London Colney on Friday, meaning that he now seems certain to make his Gunners bow this weekend.
Defender Pablo Mari is also set to be included in the squad, but left-back Kieran Tierney is still out.
